In an elegant country house, Stanshope Hall features cosy log fires, home-cooked food and pretty gardens. The historic house is in the heart of the Peak District, a 20-minute drive from Ashbourne. Excellent place. The owner lady Naomi was so kind and welcoming. All of the ladies were incredibly nice and very kind to my nephews. The place is very close to very good walking paths.

Dating from the 1580’s, Hawthorn Farm Guest House is set in a Grade II listed house, 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Buxton. It offers country-house style rooms and home-cooked food. We had a lovely stay at Hawthorn farm. The room was cosy and clean, and the breakfast in the morning was superb. The hosts are lovely and we’d love to return if we’re ever in Buxton again.

Biggin Hall Hotel is a 3 star AA rated historic Grade II listed house of 17th Century origin with an AA awarded 1 rosette restaurant. It is set within 8 acres of grounds. We travelled to Derbyshire to visit chatworth house and booked at the hotel very last minute. We was very impressed with how we were welcomed on our arrival by very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and we were provided with a free bottle of beer and Prosecco which was a nice surprise. We also didn’t expect to receive a free packed lunch to take with us even though we only stayed for one night.

Sladen Lodge is situated in Hathersage, 15 km from Chatsworth House, 23 km from FlyDSA Arena, and 25 km from Buxton Opera House. Sladen Lodge is a wonderful property, and Lynne was a fantastic host. It’s located close to the center of Hathersage, and there’s a ton to do in the area. Lynne was very accommodating when I arrived early, and she has great restaurant recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable, and the lodge itself was tranquil and peaceful.

Set within 14 km of Capesthorne Hall and 19 km of Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens in Macclesfield, Hilltop Country House offers accommodation with seating area. Beautiful property with a very kind staff.

The Chatsworth Estate Cottages offer self-catering holiday cottages, set across the Chatsworth Estate and throughout the Peak District National Park. Everything was perfect.Central to all Peak District plus beautiful cottage and location.If we needed any assistance the owners were very helpful

Set in the beautiful Dovedale Valley, The Izaak Walton is a 17th-century hotel with spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside, known for its fishing streams, a log fireplace in the front... Location and beauty, right in the middle of many walks in the Peak District. Would have stayed longer but a storm arrived the same day I did. Very classy place.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Lavender Retreat with Private Hot Tub is situated in Upper Hulme, 16 km from Buxton Opera House and 25 km from Alton Towers. Beautiful property with amazing views the photos don’t even scratch the surface

Shrigley Hall Hotel, just 15 miles south of Manchester city centre, is an impressive manor house in leafy Cheshire countryside. Fine big spacious bedroom close to the lift and main staircase. Lovely food, friendly staff. Relaxing bar. We were there for a wedding celebration and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
